The  SGM41511 is a switch-mode (buck) battery charging IC designed for single-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer batteries in smartphones. It integrates input power management and I²C-controlled charging parameters, allowing precise adjustment of charge current and voltage.
The IC supports high charging current (up to ≈3A, depending on system design and thermal conditions), making it suitable for fast charging solutions. It features built-in protections including over-voltage, over-current, thermal regulation, and battery safety monitoring.
Commonly found in entry-level and mid-range Android devices, the SGM41511 is widely used during charging fault diagnostics, no charging, slow charging, or USB power detection repairs. Replacement requires professional hot air rework and accurate temperature control.
